Middle Class students were given a building kit consisting of clothes pins, binder clips, and Popsicle sticks and were challenged to build the tallest or strongest structure using only those items. Fun!

Middle class students moving up to the older class next year are asked to design and run an independent project. The emphasis is on helping students to understand and implement the organization of a project from start to finish. One of this year's projects is a comic workshop culminating in an add-on style comic to which the whole class will contribute.😀

During a recent virtual class meeting, a Younger Class student showed photos of his experience baking garlic flower bread and also shared the recipe with the rest of the class. The class plans to bake it together once we return to school. 😋🥖

Middle class nature studies continue with journal entries of backyard observations and research on a variety of colorful insects, animals and plants 🎋🐌🐞🦋🌿🌞

Many of our projects incorporate practical math skills that students can use in daily life. One of our older classers was able to help his father build a deck using his measuring, building and problem solving skills. Great job!📏🔨⚙️😀

Middle Class students were able to winter over this kale from last year's school yard vegetable garden 🌱🌿

Middle class students were assigned a project where they were asked to depict the diversity of the Animal Kingdom by investigating (and drawing) animals of each color of the rainbow 🌈
