SJV is strengthened by dedicated teachers who help students build confidence, embrace challenges, and grow both inside and outside the classroom. Thank you, Mrs. Piperno, for your dedication to our students.

Mrs. Piperno is entering her ninth year of teaching at SJV following a successful career as a research scientist. Believing that students learn best when they are challenged, supported, and having fun, Mrs. Piperno creates a classroom that balances high expectations with humor. She is proud of the strong performance of her AP Calculus AB students. Even more meaningful to her are the resilience, confidence, and problem-solving skills they developed along the way, which will serve them well long after they leave her classroom. Mrs. Piperno also shares her enthusiasm for strategy and critical thinking as moderator of the Chess Club and the students love her for it!

Through her passion for mathematics and commitment to student growth, Mrs. Piperno helps create the kind of learning environment at SJV where students are encouraged to think deeply, persevere, and grow in confidence.

At St. John Vianney, our students are inspired each day by educators who lead with knowledge, compassion, and faith. Thank you, Mrs. Agnello, for helping our students cultivate their gifts and explore their creativity.

A proud SJV alumna, Mrs. Agnello brings a special appreciation for the Lancer experience to her work in the Fine Arts Department. She inspires students to develop their artistic talents, express themselves with confidence, and see the world through a creative lens. Mrs. Agnello also brings her vision to Lancer Productions through set design and has helped students create murals and artwork that add color, creativity, and Lancer pride throughout the halls of SJV.

Some of her AP Art students advanced to the state level of the Teen Arts Festival, an impressive recognition!

Through her teaching and creative leadership, Mrs. Agnello helps make SJV a place where students are given the opportunity to discover their talents, share their voices, and leave their mark.

At SJV every student’s journey is shaped by teachers who recognize their potential and encourage them to grow. Thank you, Mrs. Lee-Wells, for helping students develop a love of literature, writing, and self-expression.

In addition to teaching AP English Literature, Mrs. Lee-Wells serves as St. John Vianney’s Theater Director, guiding students to bring stories to life on stage. Under her direction, the cast and crew of SJV’s productions of 12 Angry Jurors, These Shining Lives, and last year’s Christmas play earned Count Basie Awards for their outstanding work. She also co-moderates the Creative Writing Club, encouraging students to develop their craft and tell meaningful stories.

Mrs. Lee-Wells’s work reflects SJV’s commitment to helping students explore their passions, develop their gifts, and share their voices with confidence.

Behind every confident, curious, and compassionate Lancer is a teacher who believes in their potential. Thank you, Mrs. Plonski, for sharing your passion for science and for encouraging our students to approach every challenge with curiosity and determination.

Mrs. Plonski has been a member of the St. John Vianney faculty for seven years. In addition to teaching AP Physics, she teaches Chemistry and helps prepare students for advanced coursework in the sciences. Through her work on the Academic Excellence Committee, Mrs. Plonski advances initiatives that reflect SJV’s commitment to academic excellence.
