Noire Reading Room is a Black and Q***r independent bookstore based in Rochester, NY. In preparation for the opening of their physical location, Soror Rebecca Amelia Lemus (Spr 21 #1) joined their efforts in clearing and painting the space! We are so excited to visit the Noire Reading Room this month! 📚🫂💜🌻

This morning, Soror Rebecca Amelia Lemus participated in the Rochester People’s March - an opportunity for us to show solidarity and amplify all voices for justice and equity in our community. 🖤🤎

The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.🥳🇨🇷🇸🇻🇬🇹🇭🇳🇳🇮💙🤍 In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18th! 🇲🇽🇨🇱🤝🏽

The Sisters and Siblings of OPBSI 🌻 are deeply saddened as a sisterhood for the wrongful killing of Sonya Massey. We send our heartfelt 🫶🏼 condolences to her family and loved ones during this time as they navigate their grief from this traumatic loss. 🕊️

As an organization whose philanthropy is “Raising Awareness of Violence Against Womxn”, we know that this incident proves there is more work to be done to ensure the safety of womxn and children globally. 🌎
