Trach care. Ventilator support. G-tube feedings. Oxygen. Seizure monitoring. Medication that has to happen during the day, on a schedule, by someone qualified.

A nurse nearby, always right there in the room.

That is what it looks like when skilled nursing and childhood happen in the same building. Nothing gets traded away for the other.

Daycare and PPEC both play important roles in caring for children, but they are designed to meet different needs.
Traditional daycare focuses on supervision, learning, play, and social development. PPEC provides a similar nurturing environment while also offering specialized medical care for children who need additional support during the day.
Depending on each child’s needs and physician’s plan of care, PPEC services may include medication administration, G-tube feedings, tracheostomy or ventilator care, and skilled nursing services.
At Peek A Boo Pediatric Care, our goal is to provide children with a safe, caring environment where their medical, developmental, and social needs can be supported throughout the day.

Small steps can mean big progress in pediatric physical therapy.

In this session, our therapist is helping the child practice walking with better foot placement, balance, and body control instead of staying up on the toes.

For some children, toe walking may be connected to strength, coordination, flexibility, or sensory needs. With guided therapy, children can work on safer movement patterns, stronger steps, and more confidence during everyday walking.

Hoy el zoológico entró a nuestro PPEC 🐊🦉🐍

Y no, los niños no lo vieron por una pantalla. Lo tocaron.

Vino Gooter, el cocodrilo. Romeo, el escorpión (sí, un niño lo sostuvo en la mano 😳). Una pitón de 20 años, un búho que gira la cabeza 180°, un zorro fennec, un oso hormiguero, un puercoespín… y Jade, la lémur, que terminó sentada en la cabeza de uno de nuestros campeones 😂

Miren esas caritas 🥹

Esto es lo que muchos no saben de un PPEC: aquí no solo cuidamos la parte médica. Aquí hay enfermería especializada todo el día, terapias, nutrición y también días como este, donde un niño con necesidades médicas complejas puede ser simplemente un niño.
