Brain-Mind Labs build on the research that has shown that children learn best when the content is relevant to them and when they can connect new learning with the old. Our game learning coaches feel that playing games have strengthened teacher-student and student-student relationships. Our students like games because they have fun and learn at the same time. Our research has shown that games help
build students academic confidence, as well as social and problem-solving skills. This evidence based research was what propelled us to use "games learning" to produce results based student achievement. We use Educational board games, manipulatives, on-line games, STEM based games, role playing, acting, imagination and Arts & Craft, Music and dancing to engage our students. As a result our children are enthusiastic to learn. We grow and cultivate skills that will prepare them to be global citizens of the 21st Century by teaching them to be creative thinkers and great problem solvers. We make learning fun which motivates students and helps them pay attention and stay focused on the subject. Our Brain Mind Labs uses educational games is to encourage students to learn outside of class. Our students go out of their way to play games, even a single game because they are excited to learn and play at the same time! There is also evidence that games allow students to focus well enough to learn better. We have found that using a lesson with a story context combined with a challenge for the student to overcome (in other words, making it into a game) significantly improves the learning performance of children. Even using the old school games such as Chutes and ladders, Checkers, Monopoly, Life and Chess help our children to have fun while learning! Mind Brain Labs combines Innovation with Education that will surely teach 21st Century Skills to 21st Century Students!
