We want to congratulate Keyuan Fluerant and Rashod Talton for representing Harvard International Academy at the Tyreek Hill Football and Speed Camp . These two students were sponsored by Harvard International Academy to participate in the camp to represent their love for football . The origin of Black History Month can be traced even further back to 1915, when an organization called the ASALH, led by Harvard-educated historian Carter G. Woodson was formed.

The ASALH dedicated its time to researching the achievements of Black Americans and other people of African descent.

For the safety of our students, families, and staff, schools will be closed on Wednesday, November 9, due to Tropical Storm Nicole.



All activities before and after school, after-school care, and field trips are canceled on Wednesday.



A decision regarding operations on Thursday, November 10th, 2022, will be communicated tomorrow.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH a celebration honoring the contributions and histories of Americans with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

The observance straddles two months, spanning from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, honoring a long-established community whose influence is felt throughout the country. It celebrates a vast community of Americans who have made invaluable contributions to the United States for over 300 years.

UPDATE:
Broward County Schools will close on Wednesday. An update is expected on whether or not Broward County will remain closed or reopen on Thursday.

News from Broward County Schools: School and district offices will be open tomorrow during regular hours. All after-school activities are canceled.

Broward School continues working closely with emergency management officials to monitor the approaching storm and its potential impact.

We will provide updates if there is any impact on school and district operations through our regular channels of communications.

Mindful Meditation 21-22 School Year

We know it can be challenging to come back to in-person learning after being home for the last year. This process of returning to school can cause students to feel stressed and/or overwhelmed. So we decided to take action by implementing Mindful Meditation for the first week of school . This will allow our students to have the tools they need to remain calm and focus as they return back in the classroom.
