Making candle holders or anything 3D takes a few extra steps for reinforcement and some work with lead and copper foil! This first one turned out pretty good but there are 4 more to go:)

Wow, what a great birthday in the studio! Thanks Syd for an outstanding strawberry sundae cake for my son- it was a showstopper! It was gone so quick I almost didn’t get the photos!
Come by for one of my cupcakes - they last much longer😂

And we have finished! The terrazzo tile on the work table and running water were the last two things on my list! My glass studio is now able to function and I’ll be getting to work this week...if you would like to hop a stool and learn some glass just let me know!

It’s been a long spring of renovation for sure and we are cleaning up the mess and getting ready to start working on glass- finally!

The ceiling of my studio is about as close to a beach that I guess I’m going to get!
The ten hours a week I won’t be spending commuting will be going into filling lots and lots of screw holes, caulking seams, and finally saying DONE...and then not being able to have an open house😢

Well, I guess there’s nothing to do on a Sunday if you don’t have papers to grade or lessons to plan😂 Why not update the world and get back to work on the studio!!
Drywall sanded and painted☑️
Bulletin boards and shelf hung☑️
Windows trimmed☑️
Huge work table made☑️
Cabinets installed☑️
Ceiling insulated☑️
Ceiling covered with sea grass and trim boards😬😬still working on that!!!!!

Getting excited about drywall only makes sense when you realize it means there’s only two more steps until we reach the finish line! Next is painting...then setting the cabinets and work table😃😃😃 and done!
