Q. College major?
A. I’m double majoring in journalism and English with a minor in Writing for the Screen and Stage.
Q. What interested you about the Hollywood Internship Program?
A. I found out about HIP as a small child upon exiting the womb. My first words were actually “Hollywood Internship Program,” and after 21 tireless years of applications and interviews, I finally secured an internship this summer. Jokes aside, I found out about HIP when I was a senior in high school applying to UNC; the program is one of many things that drew me to the university, and I really loved how such a small cohort of people could make such a big city/industry feel small.
Q. What part of the entertainment industry are you most interested in?
A. I’m most interested in comedy and TV writing!
Q. What other hobbies or interests do you have?
A. In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball with the senior citizens of my community, watching reality TV or documentaries, eating sushi, writing comedy sketches and satire, going to the beach, and riling up my two dogs.
Q. What is your ultimate dream job in the industry?
A. I’d love to one day be a showrunner for my own half-hour comedy or write for SNL. I hope to be so prolific that I’m one day bombarded nonstop with emails for coffee chats by students in the HIP class of 2056.
