From Idea to HLTH 2025: Our First Booth Experience 🚀

Standing here at our first-ever booth at HLTH 2025 feels surreal.

A few years ago, Carevocacy was just an idea — a vision to make technology more accessible to older adults through human connection and digital literacy.

Fast forward to today, and we’re here showcasing Apo AI, our SMS-based digital health literacy companion that bridges the digital divide with AI, SMS, and scale.

Getting to this moment wasn’t easy. Like every founder, there were countless late nights, setbacks, and moments of doubt.

But there were also incredible people who believed in this mission, partners who shared our vision, and older adults who reminded me why we do this.

Seeing Carevocacy represented among world-changing innovations at HLTH — surrounded by industry leaders and forward-thinkers — is more than a milestone.

It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t always start big.

Sometimes, it starts with a single conversation, a simple message, or one person who refuses to give up.

Here’s to bridging the digital divide, one text message at a time.

💸 It’s finally here!

We just received our $10K award from the NIA Start-Up Challenge, and we’re beyond excited to put it to work for the future of Carevocacy and our flagship tool, Apo AI.

This funding will be directly allocated toward scaling Apo AI—our AI-powered, multilingual chatbot designed to support older adults in navigating the digital healthcare landscape.

With it, we’ll:

✅ Expand our outreach to underserved communities

✅ Enhance Apo AI’s learning pathways and multilingual capabilities

✅ Fund technical development to improve the user experience

✅ Launch new partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations

We’re especially focused on using this investment to bring personalized digital health literacy to those who need it most—older adults living with chronic conditions, caregivers under strain, and communities historically left behind in the digital transition.

Winning this challenge is more than just validation—it’s momentum.

The National Institute on Aging believes in the mission, and that belief propels us forward.

To every senior who’s texted Apo, every caregiver who’s asked for help, and every community leader who’s said “yes” to innovation—thank you.
