🔥🚒 Fire Prevention Month Fun! 🚑🔥

A big THANK YOU to Mr. DeVries, Mr. Dunbar, and all of the wonderful volunteers with the N.O.F.C.A. for visiting our Young Fives through second-grade classes for Fire Prevention Month!

Our students loved the fire safety presentation and had so much fun getting an up-close look at the fire trucks and ambulance. 🚒🚑 What a great hands-on way to learn about fire safety and the important work our first responders do to keep our community safe!

Thank you for visiting with us and making fire safety education so fun and memorable! ❤️

Before becoming Holly Academy’s Facilities and Maintenance Director, Mr. Melero worked in architecture, and he still loves sharing his talents! He WOWed Mrs. Melero’s first grade class when he showed them how to draw a car. The students had so much fun adding their own creative details and showing off their customized cars! It was a fun and creative learning experience for everyone. We love seeing our students learn from the many talents within our Holly Academy community!

🐝 A Buzzworthy Visit in Horticulture Class! 🌻

Mrs. Price’s horticulture class welcomed a special guest presenter, Mrs. Krista Ketterer, beekeeper at For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum in Burton!

Mrs. Ketterer shared her knowledge of bees and beekeeping, giving students an inside look at the important role bees play in our gardens, ecosystems, and environment. 🌱🐝 It was a great opportunity for students to connect what they’re learning about horticulture with the essential work of our pollinators.

Thank you, Mrs. Ketterer, for sharing your time, expertise, and passion with our students. We’re always grateful for community partners who help bring learning to life! 💚
