Most leadership failures are not caused by lack of effort.
They are caused by leaders being promoted faster than they are developed.

The Command & Staff Leadership Program was built to close that gap.

Session #39 brings together public safety leaders committed to improving communication, culture, accountability, decision-making, and operational leadership before problems become crises.

Hosted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

This is not passive leadership training.
This is leadership development designed for real-world pressure.

Most leadership programs teach you how to lead people.

Few teach you how to understand people.

Authentic & Deliberate Leadership: The West Point Way goes beyond tactics and leadership buzzwords to explore the science behind motivation, communication, team development, decision-making, and organizational culture.

Originally developed through the United States Military Academy at West Point and enhanced by National Command & Staff College faculty, this 72-hour blended program equips leaders to lead with greater purpose, influence, and effectiveness.

Participants will learn how to:

• Understand what truly motivates people
• Improve team performance and cohesion
• Navigate conflict and difficult decisions
• Lead organizational change
• Build cultures rooted in trust and accountability
• Strengthen leadership influence at every level

The best leaders don't simply manage people.

They understand human behavior and know how to bring out the best in others.

Pressure is not what breaks leaders.

Rigid leadership does.

Today's leaders are expected to navigate staffing shortages, burnout, conflict, rapid change, and increasing public expectations, often with little preparation for the human side of leadership.

The Elastic Leadership Workshop was built to change that.

Based on the Elasticity of Identity Theory and the MAGNUS Ovea framework, this workshop helps leaders develop the ability to adapt, recover, and lead effectively under pressure.

Participants will learn how to:

• Lead in high-stress environments
• Avoid leadership "rust"
• Improve decision-making under pressure
• Recover after conflict and setbacks
• Strengthen the 11 Rings of Human Performance
• Build sustainable leadership resilience

Upcoming Workshops:

📍 Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Kingston, NY
📅 September 23, 2026

📍 Douglas County Sheriff's Office, East Wenatchee, WA
📅 October 28-29, 2026

Both programs are led by DEA SAC (Ret.) Justin King and include leadership resources, assessments, workbook materials, and access to the MAGNUS | ONE platform.

The strongest leaders aren't the ones who never bend.

They're the ones who know how to bend without breaking.

The strongest leaders are not the ones who never struggle.

They are the ones who learn how to carry pressure without losing themselves, their purpose, or their people.

“I AM RUSTIC” is more than a workshop.

It is a conversation about weathered strength, resilience, identity, and leadership under pressure.

This one-day experience is designed for leaders operating in environments where stress, conflict, responsibility, and emotional fatigue are constant realities.

Participants will explore:
• leadership elasticity under pressure
• adapting during uncertainty and conflict
• preventing leadership “rust”
• strengthening resilience and decision-making
• building sustainable leadership identity

Because leadership is not tested when things are easy.

It is revealed when everything feels heavy.

The Elastic Leadership Workshop was designed for leaders operating in high-stress environments where communication, decision-making, resilience, and emotional regulation directly impact performance.

This one-day workshop helps leaders:
• lead effectively under pressure
• avoid leadership “rust”

• recover after conflict and setbacks
• strengthen the 11 Rings of performance
