Holy Family third graders painted their own flower pots and planted basil.. we have our first sprouts and lots of excitement.

If you ever want to test a kindergartener’s patience, ask them to walk in sync with a partner while holding a beanbag between their elbows. 😂 Our counselor brought the ultimate character lesson today, 50% teamwork, 50% pure comedy. Look at these team-building pros going the distance! 🏆❤️

Introducing the newest members of Holy Family Royalty in the Terra Nova Kingdom...Congratulations to Madayln, Earick, Kennedy, Abrey, Trevioun, LaCourtland, Markus, Karter, Ariane, Aaryn, Noah, Parker, Gilberth, Trevor, Octavis, Christian, Temmie, Mia, Zoey, Dazarion, Danthony, Eriane, Carlyn, Laken, Emori and Shakayla!
All of these young people have demonstrated significant academic growth or exceptionally high scores in one-two- or all three of the TerraNova academic assessment areas.
Today, these students were Knighted or crowned as Princes/Princesses or Kings and Queens for their incredible achievements. We celebrate not only their high marks, but also their perseverance, determination and growth.

In library, Mrs. Nolan read the popular picture book The Smart Cookie by Jory John and Pete Oswald. The book explores self-esteem, growth mindset, and the truth that intelligence comes in many different forms.

Smart Cookie discovers his love of writing poetry and says, "I realized that there are many ways to be smart.”

After listening to and discussing the book, students made edible “smart cookies” for a snack.
