🎄✨ Holly Grove Elementary had a magical morning at our holiday/winter carpool today! Our Elf on the Shelf made a surprise appearance on the roof 🧝‍♂️, spreading holiday cheer to everyone passing through. The kids' faces lit up with excitement as they saw the fun winter costumes and festive spirit all around. 💖❄️

We love creating special moments like this for our students—here’s to a season full of joy and smiles! 😊🎅

Shout out to our amazing staff for being willing to dress up and Ms. Lake for having some awesome costumes!

Our 1st and 2nd grade Hedgies and our amazing Hedgehogs in Harmony did an incredible job at the Winter Music Concert! Their hard work, talent, and joy shined bright on stage, spreading cheer to everyone in the audience.

Thank you to our amazing staff, especially Ms. Bennett and Ms. Tozzi, and supportive families for helping make this event such a wonderful success. Way to go, Hedgies! 🦔❄️🎤

We had so much fun at our 📚 Bingo for Books 🎉 game night tonight at Holly Grove Elementary! It was wonderful to see so many families come together to play, laugh, and win some great books! 📖✨ Thank you to everyone who made this night so memorable. Can’t wait for the next one! 🥳🙌

Join us for our free family event on Nov 8th: Bingo for Books! We will hold 2 sessions of bingo to try and allow as many families to attend: 5-5:45 pm and 6-6:45 pm. You may only attend ONE session. Bingo winners will be able to select a children's book from our school's vending machine! Bingo is only open to families of Holly Grove Elementary students.

We'll also have numerous food trucks that are donating a portion of their proceeds back to our school, and food trucks are open to the whole community! Food trucks will be available from around 5-7:30. In attendance will be MexiArepa Grill, Party in a Pita, Jessica's Food Truck, Kona Ice (offering a free Kona Ice for all teachers!), and Brusters Ice Cream. Food is not allowed inside the school but can be enjoyed before or after bingo.

To attend Bingo, you must register for an available slot. 🎉✨ Congratulations to our incredible school counselor, Alicia Nazar! 🎉✨

We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Nazar is a recipient of one of the September Wake County Public School System Employee Excellence Awards! 🌟

Starting the school year as the lone counselor was no small feat, but Ms. Nazar faced this challenge with grace and determination. She has gone above and beyond to support our teachers and students, all while maintaining her signature positive attitude. She truly embodies what it means to be a team player!

Despite the whirlwind of responsibilities, she shows up every day with enthusiasm, finding time to teach classes and help implement the The Zones of Regulation program throughout the school.

HGES is so lucky to have you, Ms. Nazar! Thank you for all that you do! 💚

Garden club is taking a two week hiatus… Mrs. Russell, Mrs.Baker, and Ms. Focazio are track 4 teachers. We will return on Tuesday, October 15th. Remember you can always check the website for Garden Club dates.
