August 23, 2026—The Marjean Myatt Headstart will be closed Monday, August 24, 2026 due to impacts from the recent storms. It is never an easy decision to close school, but given the large number of families and staff members without power, we feel it is the best option. School will resume Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

Summer break has come to an end, and tomorrow marks the beginning of a brand-new adventure!

We are excited to welcome back our returning children and families and extend a very special welcome to all of our new children and families joining the Marjean Taylor Myatt Head Start Center family this school year!

Every child deserves a Head Start.

We look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to our parents for trusting us with your little ones. Together, we’ll help every child build a strong foundation for success.
