A carousel of wins! On August 27th our Vice President of Education, Chandru Mohanraj, had several acknowledgments for the accomplishments of our members! He presented our Sergeant-at-Arms, Adrian Dumas, with his Pathways Level 3 completion ribbon!

Chandru as well as our club President, Denis Shatilov, presented Mariam Shatilova with her Pathways Level 2 completion ribbon!

Chandru welcomed our newest member, Mani Prabhakar Bonam, with his new member ribbon!

We fell a few weeks behind on social media with the end of summer 😎 and back to school 📚 transition, but our Holly Springs Toastmasters meetings continued! Our last meeting of August 2026 was a powerful one and had some exciting acknowledgements we’ll be posting about soon! Stay tuned!

Back to school and back to building better communicators and leaders! 🎤📚

One of the best updates of the night came from Lillian Falciglia, DTM, who shared that Holly Springs Toastmasters is crushing our club goals and is well on our way toward earning Smedley Distinguished status again this year! 👏 That achievement reflects the consistency, growth, and participation of our entire club.

Our Word of the Day was “chipper” and it was a fitting description for an evening full of positive energy, learning, and connection.

Our word of the day, Collaboration, suited the tone and theme perfectly. A special congratulations to Sivam for presenting his very first Ice Breaker! We also welcomed 2 guests to our meeting this week.

Holly Springs Toastmasters 2025-2026 🟰 Smedley Distinguished!

Toastmasters International instituted this 4th level of distinguished club status 1 year ago to give high performing clubs an even greater challenge and recognition. As a club which charted in December 2024, we have SO MUCH to celebrate in achieving this status.

Our club did just that at our June 25th meeting- combining celebrations for our Smedley Distinguished achievement and our new officer inductions.

Our inductions were performed by 2025-2026 Club Growth Director Meri Lynch, DTM. Please help us celebrate our 2026-2027 officer team:

What happens when members step up?

A great Toastmasters meeting. 👏

This week at Holly Springs Toastmasters, our theme was “Your Best Friend and How You Met,” reminding us that some of the most meaningful connections begin with a simple conversation.

When our agenda shifted, members jumped in and made the evening a success. Dr. Kelsie Fabrizi delivered an impromptu speech on public relations strategies, sharing lessons from World Champion of Public Speaking Lance Miller and how he helped grow his club to more than 95 members through intentional outreach and member engagement.

Our Toastmaster of the Day, Adrian Dumas, also took the stage with a speech on the important responsibilities of the Sergeant at Arms, highlighting how strong meetings are built on preparation, service, and leadership behind the scenes.

A special thank you to Anita Goerig for leading Table Topics, Rich Walters for bringing humor, and every member who filled a role, shared feedback, and contributed to another evening of growth.

☀️ Another great night at Holly Springs Toastmasters!

From dreaming big with Frank Tetteh, learning how math can actually be cool with Joseph Collins, and gaining practical financial insights from Sajan Devan’s “Tax Buckets,” our members brought a wide range of ideas and inspiration to the stage.

Our theme, “Your Favorite Summer Vacation Spot and Why?”, sparked engaging conversations, while our Word of the Day ~ Idyllic ~ added a little extra vocabulary challenge.

A special thank you to all of our speakers, evaluators, and meeting leaders who made the evening a success. We were also excited to welcome two guests at our meeting!
