🎲 Strategy + Problem Solving + A Little Friendly Competition! 🧠🏆
Students in Woods’ and Hamilton’s 6th, 7th & 8th grade math classes put their thinking skills to work with some friendly competition! Students used strategy, problem-solving, and critical thinking as they challenged one another through games.
Learning + teamwork + a little competition = a pretty great day in math! 🎲🐯💙

➕➖ Math That Makes “Cents!” 🛒💰
Our 6th graders teamed up and became the teachers! Students worked together to explore real numbers and decimals, finding both exact answers and estimated answers.
Then they connected those math skills to something we all do—shopping! 🛍️ Students learned how estimating can help us quickly figure out about how much we'll spend before we ever get to the checkout.
Math isn't just something we do in the classroom—it's something we use every day! 🧮🐯💙

We love seeing our students recognized for making great choices! A Positive Office Referral means a trip to the office for all the RIGHT reasons—showing kindness, responsibility, leadership, hard work, or simply being a great example for others.

🔬 Fun in 6th Grade Science! 🧪
Our 6th graders got an up-close look at science as they learned how to properly use microscopes! Students practiced their microscope skills while observing and comparing the characteristics of living and nonliving things.
There’s nothing quite like seeing students discover a whole new world through the lens! 🔍👀
