The Holliday Education Foundation is looking for a new board member!

The Foundation exists to help strengthen opportunities for students and staff at Holliday ISD by providing additional support for educational programs, student enrichment, scholarships, and staff development. It’s a really meaningful way to invest in schools and students in our community.

We’re specifically hoping to connect with someone who has experience or a strong interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, event planning, community involvement, or relationship-building. You don’t have to be an expert in all of those things; we’re looking for someone who is passionate about Holliday students, willing to be engaged, and excited to help the Foundation continue growing its impact.

If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved in our community but weren’t sure where to start, this could be a great opportunity!

If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please contact Angie Duncan, Executive Director, at [email protected].

And please feel free to share this with someone you think might be a great fit!

We're pretty sure everyone who loves Holliday has their own answer to this one. ❤️

Maybe it's a teacher who knew exactly what you needed.

Maybe it's Friday night football.

Maybe it's watching people show up when a family needs them.

Maybe it's the fact that you can graduate, move away, come back years later—and somehow it still feels like home.

So let's hear yours:

Holliday is special because ____________.

When you see something like a classroom full of new technology, it's easy to assume real educational impact requires one big donor.

But that's not how strong community support works.

It's parents. Alumni. Grandparents. Businesses. Teachers. Former Eagles. And people who simply believe that great schools make great communities.

One gift joins another. One person tells another. And eventually those gifts become something tangible in a Holliday classroom.

You don't have to fund an entire project to be part of one.

That's the beauty of a community investing together. ❤️🦅

Behind every grant HEF funds, every classroom resource we purchase, and every dollar our community gives, there’s a pretty simple reason:

Holliday students. ❤️

The technology is exciting. The innovative ideas are exciting. Handing a teacher something they’ve dreamed about having in their classroom is really exciting.

But ultimately, it’s about what happens next.

A student becomes more engaged.
A teacher finds a new way to make something click.
A classroom gets an opportunity it didn't have before.

That’s the impact we care about most.

Everything we invest in eventually comes back to them. 🦅
