🚨 A “Friendly” PSA About JP’s Soccer Fields🚨
Apparently this needs to be said again, so here it is:
STOP DOING DONUTS IN THE PARKING LOT AT JP’S FIELDS.
We’re tired of showing up and finding the parking lot torn up because someone decided Village property was their personal playground.
This isn’t harmless fun. You are intentionally damaging property that does not belong to you. It belongs to the Village and is used by our soccer club, our families, our players, and our community.
And since “please don’t do it” apparently hasn’t been enough, here’s the less-friendly reminder:
Doing donuts/reckless driving in a parking lot may violate New York Vehicle & Traffic Law § 1212 (Reckless Driving), and intentionally damaging property can potentially result in Criminal Mischief charges depending on the circumstances.
We have reached the point where we are done asking nicely.
If we identify who is responsible, we will provide the information and evidence to the appropriate authorities and pursue charges where applicable.
And if we find that a Holley United player is involved, they will be permanently suspended from the club. There will be no discussion about whether it was “just messing around.” Wearing our badge means representing our club and community with some level of respect — including when nobody is watching.
A tremendous amount of volunteer time and community resources go into maintaining these fields and giving our kids a place to play soccer. Watching someone repeatedly disrespect that work is beyond frustrating.
It’s simple: Respect the fields. Respect Village property. Respect your community.
And if you can’t do that, stay out of the parking lot.
