Get ready for an afternoon of fun!

Families of H.O.B. students are invited to the elementary school on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026. From 1-2 p.m., families can drop off school supplies for their elementary students, enjoy a cold treat at the PTO's Back-to-School Ice Cream Social, and check out the Jr. Harvest Show. (Students participating in the Jr. Harvest Show should bring their entries to the school between 8 and 9:30 a.m. that morning.)

During the event, our school nurses will be hosting a medication drop-off in the H.O.B. health office. Families of students in grades UPK-12 are encouraged to bring their medications during this time so the nursing team can accept them before the school year begins.

Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, the Holland Pupil Personnel Services Office will share documents online through the new Collaboration Portal instead of paper mail. Parents will receive email alerts with instructions to view, sign, and submit the following:

‣ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
‣ Section 504 Plans
‣ Meeting notices and invitations
‣ Parent consent forms
‣ Prior written notices
‣ Progress reports

Holland seventh grader Kaylee White recently participated in ChalkFest Buffalo 2026. She took first place in the Kids 12 and Under category for her piece, "Musical Headspace." The official start date of the fall sports season is Aug. 17 for JV/varsity sports and Aug. 24 for modified sports. To register your child for a fall sport, you must complete the following steps:

1. Please complete and submit the Athletic Health History form to the health office. This form begins the process of your registration.

Congratulations to Pam Patterson, Robin Ruiz, Debra Kozlowski, and Jennifer Breier! Their project, "Guard Your Great Lake: Cut the Plastic," received a $1,000 Wayfinder Educator Mini-Grant! 🎉

One of ten chosen from across the country, the project engages Holland students through the cleanup of Lake Erie. The high schoolers lead trash audits, study microplastics, and collaborate with younger peers, then create community public service announcements, art, and local outreach initiatives. Paired with scientific investigation and mentorship, the goal is to help students imagine and work toward a world without plastic pollution. 🌎
