Alumni Love Story: Will Barbera '21 and Claire Williams '21 Barbera
Claire says, "Will and I both attended Hope from 2017-2021, first meeting in 2019, for the first time at a fall formal event for the Emersonian Fraternity. We had both gone with different dates but ended up spending a few hours talking just the two of us. Flash forward a few days and we had our first date at the VanWylen Library. In true Hope College fashion when he came over to my house a few days later many of my roommates already knew him. We have been inseparable ever since, moving to North Carolina for Will’s Master's degree in the summer of 2021, getting married in September 2023 and then moving to Minnesota. We are hoping to finally get back to West Michigan in the next few months. Forever grateful to Hope College for our love story!!"

New members have been appointed to Hope's Alumni Association Board and the Alumni of Color Advisory Council for the upcoming academic year.
