🌎📚 Level 2 ESL is already taking Fall learning places! 🍂

Our Zeeland Adult Education Level 2 ESL students are wasting no time jumping into the new semester! From heading out to explore the community to bringing those experiences right back into the classroom, they’re practicing English where it matters most—in everyday life. 💬👏

And back in class? They’re learning how to talk about what’s right here, what’s over there, and everything in between! 😄 👉👈 A little movement, a lot of conversation, and plenty of opportunities to turn new words into English they can actually use.

At ZAE, learning doesn’t have to stay at a desk. It can happen around the classroom, down the street, and throughout our community. 💙💛

🍁 Fall classes are underway, and there’s still time to join us!

🌎✨ Another story. Another achievement. Another edition of Esteemed! ✨🌎

We’re excited to share Issue 04 of Esteemed: From International Degree to U.S. Recognition—our continuing Global Student Spotlight celebrating the education, experience, and professional talent our students bring with them to Zeeland Adult Education.

This edition highlights Dalia Martinez, whose international credentials have been evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Finance. With more than 10 years of experience spanning manufacturing, engineering, production leadership, training, and employee development, Dalia brings an impressive combination of education and real-world experience from Mexico. 🎓👏

Her story is another reminder of why recognizing education earned outside the United States matters. Through ZAE, internationally educated students may have access to credential evaluation support, application guidance, and designated financial assistance to help put their education and experience to work here in the U.S.

💙 Your story could be next!

If you earned a degree outside the United States and are enrolled with Zeeland Adult Education, talk with us about your next steps.

🎓✨ One certificate can be the start of something BIG! ✨🎓

Check out some of our amazing Adult Education students showing off their Ed2Go certificates! 👏 Each certificate represents a new skill learned, another accomplishment earned, and one more step toward whatever you choose next.

And that’s what we love about Adult Education—you don’t have to stop at just one goal! Through Project Elevate and 107a Innovation, students have opportunities to explore new skills, earn micro-credentials, take online trainings, and discover career pathways they may not have considered before. Add in our Special Programs opportunities through Thompson M-TEC, and there are SO many ways to keep building. 💙💛

Maybe you start with an Ed2Go course.
Maybe you add a microcredential.
Maybe your next step is Welding, CNA, HVAC, Plumbing, Dental Assisting—or something completely different.

One step leads to another... and pretty soon, you’re building a whole new future. 🚀

Already a ZAE student? Come in and ask us, “What can I do next?” We’d LOVE to show you!

Not enrolled yet? There’s a whole lot more happening in Adult Education than you might think. 😉

🌎💬 English in action, confidence growing, and connections being made! 💬🌎

Last week brought another great example of the powerful—and FUN—learning happening in our ESL classrooms at Zeeland Adult Education!

Our Level 1 students in Ms. Gwen’s class and Level 2 students in Mr. John’s class teamed up to practice greetings and asking and answering personal information questions. Students worked together, practiced real-world conversations, and celebrated a pretty important accomplishment: everyone successfully learned how to spell their name in English! 👏🔤

These may seem like simple skills, but they are the building blocks for introducing yourself, completing forms, communicating at work, navigating the community, and making new connections. And learning them together makes it even better! 💙💛

📚 Classes continue tomorrow morning at Midtown Center—and we’re waiting to see YOU!

If improving your English has been on your list, you don’t have to wait for another semester to begin. Come learn, practice, connect, and build confidence alongside a welcoming community of adult learners.
