Today is National Food Service Worker Appreciation Day, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make Hope Dining Services what it is! ❤️

We are so thankful for each and every one of our staff members and all that they do each day to serve our campus community. From early mornings to busy lunch rushes, their hard work, dedication, and care make a difference every single day.

This week, our students helped make our staff feel extra appreciated by writing little thank-you notes for them to read and enjoy. 📝 Seeing these thoughtful messages and knowing how much our students appreciate them has meant so much to our team!

Our management team also put together some special goodie bags as another little token of our appreciation for everything our staff does.

To our amazing Hope Dining Services team: thank you for all that you do! We appreciate you today and every day! 💙

Fresh, flavorful, and made your way. 🌿

To celebrate National Za’atar Day, students got to create their own hummus bowl from an assortment of delicious ingredients. One combination featured creamy red pepper hummus, fresh radish and cucumber, crunchy pepitas, warm pita, smooth tzatziki, and flavorful pakoras. Another brought those same flavors together with savory lamb gyro.

It’s all about having choices and creating a bowl that sounds delicious to you. 🥙

🥪 A little campus fun, served between two slices of bread!

The Scogin Hoagie was featured at Anchor Deli for National Eat a Hoagie Day, bringing together layers of salami, pepperoni and ham, provolone, spicy jalapeños, crisp lettuce, tomato, onion and spicy mayo. With all those toppings, this hoagie was packed with flavor from the first bite to the last.

President Scogin was even caught giving it a try and shared the “Scogie Hoagie” name on his story. We think it’s safe to say he approved! 😊

We love seeing the fun, everyday moments that make life on campus special for our students — and this hoagie was certainly one of them!

RAY made a return to campus today! 🎉 Our Random Act of Yum was in the Bultman Student Center, surprising students with delicious energy bites made with creamy peanut butter, crunchy oats, and sweet chocolatey goodness—a tasty treat to help fuel the first week of classes!

🌎 Global Bowls 101

Wondering how the Global Bowls rotation works? Here’s the scoop!

Our Global Bowls menu changes weekly, with one featured bowl during lunch and another during dinner. Both options are available throughout the week, giving students plenty of opportunities to enjoy them.

If your student finds a favorite, they can come back for it throughout the week. Missed it one day? It’ll be there the next. And if this week’s selection isn’t quite their favorite, a new lineup will be waiting the following week!

Move-in is done, classes are about to begin, and we’re officially back! 🌲

We had so much fun celebrating the start of a new school year at Picnic in the Pine Grove this past Friday! It was great to see our returning students again and welcome our newest class as they settle into life at Hope.

And there was plenty of good food to go around! From fresh fruit and pulled chicken sandwiches to delicious cavatappi and a dessert spread worth saving room for, we hope you came hungry and left happy!

As for the Polaroid prop… well, it was too good not to use, and our students were having way too much fun with it. 📸 So naturally, we had to share the evidence.

Here’s to a year full of new experiences, new memories, and plenty of good eats along the way! 💙🧡

Move-in day has a way of making time feel like it went by way too fast. 🥹💙

One moment, you’re helping your student pack up their room, and the next, they’re settling into a new space, meeting their roommate, exploring campus, and beginning an entirely new chapter.

We wanted to make the start of this new chapter a little sweeter, so we celebrated move-in day with a Random Act of Yum 🍦, handing out ice cream cones to students and families around campus.

As your student finds their way around campus, we hope Phelps becomes one of the places that feels like home—a place to meet friends, share a meal, study in Fireside, grab a sweet treat, and make the everyday memories that become some of the best ones.

A new chapter for Phelps Dining is taking shape! 🏗️✨

We’re making exciting progress on the Phelps Dining transformation. These photos highlight the updates underway today, along with a look back at the original spaces that inspired these improvements.

One of the most exciting additions will be The Zone, located in the former Maas Lobby. This dedicated allergen-friendly dining area will feature its own separate kitchen and fryer, providing students with greater confidence, care, and peace of mind when selecting allergen-conscious meal options.

We’re also redesigning the Breakfast Nook with a more open, welcoming concept. Students will enjoy their breakfast favorites in a refreshed, vibrant space.

Every detail of this transformation is being thoughtfully designed to enhance the student dining experience and create spaces where students can feel comfortable, supported, and at home.

This fall, we're bringing more variety and customization to the Phelps dining experience with our new Global Bowl station. 🌎🥣

Built around the idea that great meals can be made your way, the Global Bowl station gives students the opportunity to explore bold flavors, mix and match ingredients, and create a bowl that fits their tastes.

The Za'atar Bowl will be one of the flavorful options available, bringing together creamy hummus, warm shawarma chicken, tandoori-spiced chickpeas, garam masala sweet potatoes, pickled onions, citrus olives, crunchy grain slaw, and more.

Whether you're coming back for a familiar favorite or trying a new combination, we're excited to give students even more ways to enjoy meals they look forward to.
