We love our Green2Go program! 🌿
Learn more about it here ⬇️
Hope College’s Green2Go program highlights a practical path to waste reduction for smaller campuses. Reuse is prioritized, with compostable items used only when necessary in tighter retail spaces. Through clear expectations, student education, and staff engagement, the system has become normalized over time demonstrating that even with limited space and staffing, institutions can advance pollution prevention goals while maintaining a high-quality dining experience.
By making reuse the default rather than optional, the college reduced dependence on single-use and compostable packaging while maintaining efficient, predictable operations within a compact campus footprint.

We loved being able to host our Chef’s Table winner and their guests last night for a special evening centered around good food and great company. ✨🍄🟫
The meal started with a fresh, locally inspired salad featuring microgreens from Crisp Country Acres, blueberries, feta, candied nuts, and Michigan cherries with balsamic vinaigrette.
For the main course, guests were served a Michigan-raised ribeye with asparagus, blistered tomatoes, and a twice-baked potato.
The evening ended on a sweet note with an Earth Day–inspired Swiss roll that guests were also able to take home and enjoy later.
Thank you to our culinary and bakery teams for making the night feel so thoughtful and memorable.

Starting the Earth Day celebration a little early 🌎💙
Hope Dining Services shared a Random Act of Yum with the campus community—handing out free Earth-themed sugar cookies that were soft, chewy, and thoughtfully decorated with a small heart.
It’s a simple way to bring smiles, create connection, and show appreciation for both our planet and the people who make our community so special ✨
We look forward to many more moments like this—stay connected to see what’s next!

Brown Butter Hope Honey Cookies. Five words that have become an instant campus favorite.
Served earlier this week in celebration of Earth Month using honey harvested right here on campus, these cookies are a standout for a reason. Crafted with browned butter for depth, honey for natural sweetness, and flaky sea salt for balance, they deliver a simple but unforgettable bite every time.
A consistent favorite that rarely lasts long once served.
