We're thrilled to announce that for the fourth year in a row West Ottawa Public Schools was named a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation! The mission of the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants) is to invest in the future of music and we're honored to be one of only 127 districts nationwide to receive this honor. A big congratulations to our music directors for their hard work and dedication to our students!

The West Ottawa Music Boosters is seeking volunteers for the West Ottawa High School Collage Concert next week Tuesday, March 31 from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm! Please consider signing up for a slot next Tuesday evening at https://bit.ly/4tuEm8r to help make this fundraising concert to support our music programs a huge success! We can't do it without you!

As we look ahead to next year ('26-'27), we’re inviting music parents to consider stepping into leadership roles with the West Ottawa Public Schools Music Boosters! These positions help keep our programs running smoothly and directly support our amazing student musicians and their directors:

President – Leads monthly meetings, keeps communication flowing between directors and parents, and helps coordinate key events throughout the year. Think organizer + big-picture helper.

Vice President – Supports the President and runs some of our biggest events, including the fall clothing sale and Festivals. Great for someone who enjoys coordinating volunteers and events.

Treasurer – Oversees the financial side of our boosters, including paying expenses, handling deposits, tracking accounts, and helping build the annual budget. A great fit for someone who is organized and comfortable managing details.

Assistant Treasurer – Helps manage incoming mail, deposits, and account updates, plus lends a hand with fundraising and events during the year. Ideal for someone detail-oriented who likes behind-the-scenes support.

Did you catch our very own West Ottawa High School Marching Band in Downtown Holland's Parade of Lights last night? They had the honor of accompanying Santa Claus himself down the parade route! What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season with the entire community!

Wow! We are absolutely blown away by the generous support of our community and our families! Thanks to you, we raised over $102,000 (!) in funds as part of our recent Vertical Raise fundraiser to support our band, choir, and orchestra students at both the middle school and high school levels. We cannot thank you enough for your support of our talented students and dedicated program directors!
