We are thrilled to highlight Juan Granados for the incredible support he provides to our GRCC Lakeshore community.
While Juan is based with TRIO EOC, he partners with the Lakeshore campus one day a month to offer specialized admission appointments. His ability to connect with students and families in both English and Spanish is an invaluable asset to our mission of accessibility.
With a background in Political Science and Chicano Latino Studies from MSU, Juan brings a wealth of knowledge for anyone looking to navigate admissions, financial aid or post-secondary resources.

Over the past 3 years, the Lakeshore Team has had the privilege of watching Cristopher Montoya grow—not just as a student employee, but as a person. This week, Cris visited our Grand Rapids main campus for the Grad Closet pop-up, where he got a full tour alongside our Lakeshore leadership team.

What makes his journey even more special? Cris completed his associate degree in Pre-Cybersecurity without ever needing to take a class at the main campus—balancing online and Lakeshore coursework to reach this incredible milestone.

We also had the chance to celebrate Cris with a cake to show our appreciation for all he’s contributed to our campus.

Cris, your dedication, growth, and perseverance have truly inspired all of us. You’ve left a lasting impact on our Lakeshore Campus, and while we’ll miss you, we couldn’t be more proud of everything you’ve accomplished.
