The Woodside Elementary PTO is gearing up to raise money for our students this school year, and we’re thrilled to announce our big event: a Rainbow Run for our Fall Fundraiser.
Get ready, because students at Woodside are about to exercise for a fantastic cause! We’re hosting a Rainbow Run and it’s going to be an amazing event. A color run is not about racing or speed – it’s all about having a blast, staying healthy, and supporting our school.
We know that promoting health and wellness is more important than ever for our youth. That’s why we’ve chosen a Rainbow Run as our fundraiser this fall.
What We’re Raising Money For: The funds we raise will go toward making this school year the best experience ever for our students. The money is used for events such as the Carnival, Bingo for Books, Winter Workshop, Color Run, Trunk or Treat, March Is Reading Month and costumes for the Tulip Parade. It will go towards supporting our teachers with appreciation days and classroom needs. We would love to provide unique learning experiences, interactive and educational assemblies, healthy snacks for those long testing days, and help with field trips. We also strive to provide enhancements to our building and playground, and honor additional requests for funds whenever possible.
According to an article in the Holland Sentinel, "Our fundraiser will give our students new opportunities to learn and have fun this year. Every dollar raised will benefit every student" said PTO President Libby Piotrzkowski whose youngest daughter is in 1st grade at Woodside. “Our PTO dreams big for these kids but we need the funds. We would love to raise $20,000 this year. We could do so much. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of the community, our students, and their families. Woodside has been a part of the community for a long time. I myself am a Woodside alumni as well as my three oldest kids. If you have a connection in your heart to Woodside either past or current, please consider investing in our future.”
Woodside Elementary currently has over 400 students ranging from Pre K to fifth grade.

What a wonderful short week we had to kickoff the school year!
Ask your student to share some of their favorite things from today. What was their favorite thing that happened today? What was their favorite food at lunch? What's the best thing that they did at recess? What did they like most about their specials class today?
BE positive!
