When you're walking down the Super Yacht dock and someone on a boat calls your name... 🤔

Oh darn.

Check out my new downloadable book - The Boat Owner's Guide to Spring Launch.

The book includes best practices, what to check, why those things are important, and what problems you're looking for.

Use the attached checklist to discuss your options with your favorite marine technician, or to ensure you've done your best to make the coming boating season safe and fun.

I'm the mountains of Spain with Robert Jordan and two heavy packs of dynamite.

Anyone? Anyone...

Two boat rides yesterday, that rocked. Good to be back in The Office too. :)

Started working on my winter project this week. I am trying to create a book version of my Boating 101 class complete with the driving and docking information that's been so popular. Stay tuned or check back for more info!

This.

I've been so bad about posting stuff this year. It's been a busy summer with lots of lessons, but that means my own boat hardly left the slip.

It's also hard when you live on the boat, you tend to come home from work and get comfy, and then blow off the sunset cruise.

Not much time left so, better get out on the water!

Wow, this spring has been sp busy I have forgotten to post anything here in a while. I promise to do a better job from now on.

Been a great spring for lessons. I've been teaching people to drive/operate boats for more than 30 years and have come up with a great system that just works.

My 5 Rules and Baby Steps system will have you docking the biggest boat with no joystick and no bow thruster in one or two 4 hour sessions depending on your experience.

New boater with no experience at all? First time with twin engines? Newer boat with complicated electronics and ship's systems?

I'm the man for the job.

Reach out when you're ready and I will have you comfortably docking your boat in no time!

Only about 8 weeks until it's time to splash again.. might seem like we're in the death grip of winter now, but it will be here before you know it. Got a carb to rebuild, the forward AC to replace, and some cosmetics on the bridge - and I need to get it done while putting Yemaya together for the season too.

Time to start making some plans!
