2026 Recital Highlights!

2026 Recital Awards: Legacy Award, Senior Awards, Student of the Month Recognition.

Spring Recital 2026 - A beautiful celebration of learning! Congratulations to all my students. I’m so very proud of each of you!

Congratulations to Christie Ricketts, the “Student of the Month” for May. Christie just graduated from Zeeland East High School and has studied voice her senior year, flourishing in musical theater, working with exceptional practice and growth. She also participated in choir, theatre, and works as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Highlights from this year include the leading role of Wednesday in “The Addams Family” musical, and being chosen to compete at the 2026 Sutton Foster Awards, celebrating high school musical theatre across Michigan. This fall she will attend University of Buffalo, New York to pursue a Bachelor’s Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

Congratulations to Natalie, one of two “Students of the Month for April.” She has flourished in musical theater this school year, working with exceptional practice and outstanding growth. Natalie is graduating from Zeeland West High School next week. She studied voice her senior year, and has highly excelled in cheerleading, theatre and dance activities in school. This fall she will attend Grand Valley State University to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.

Congratulations to Davontae Hazen, the “Student of the Month” for March, 2026. Davontae is in 5th Grade at Waukazoo Elementary School, and is at the end of his 2nd year of piano lessons. This award celebrates outstanding progress, consistent practice, plus his excitement to explore, create and compose on the piano.
Along with piano, Davontae enjoys playing football, lacrosse, basketball, building LEGO’s and drawing. He is one of six siblings, four who take piano lessons with Music by Lemmenes. He is the perfect “student of the month” for March!

Congratulations to Owen, one of two “Students of the Month for April.” He has flourished in musical theater this school year, working with exceptional practice and outstanding growth. Owen is graduating from Zeeland West High School this May. He has studied voice his senior year, and has excelled in choral and theatre activities. Owen works at Resthaven and is engaged to be married. This fall he will continue his education at Thompson M-Tech for property maintenance technician.

Congratulations to my voice students…Emma, Lucy, Natalie, Owen, Christie, Sarah & Cambree! A fantastic performance tonight of “The Addam’s Family Musical - School Edition” with Zeeland High School. So proud of each of you!
