Are Jesus’ words “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one” in Mark 12:28, a creed about monotheism? Surprisingly, Jewish scholars say no, this is actually a statement about the fact that God *alone* is Israel’s Lord. Very interesting!
