The 2026-2027 school year is quickly approaching. The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 1, at 8:15 am. Note this will be a half day with dismissal at noon.

Our “Back to School Bash” will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 6:30-8:00 pm at the school. Come and welcome our new principal, visit the classrooms, and catch up with friends. See you there!

We are blessed to welcome Ms. Rachael Gates to the HAA family as our principal/grades 5-8 teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Rachael brings a deep love for God, a passion for Christian education, and a heart for helping young people grow into the individuals God created them to be. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and has served in a variety of educational roles, including tutoring, homeschooling, and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Her background also includes leadership and management experience, equipping her with strong organizational skills and a commitment to helping others flourish.

Rachael believes the highest purpose of Christian education is to partner with God in restoring His image in every student. Her goal is not simply to teach facts, but to ignite a lifelong love of learning and help students become independent thinkers who ask meaningful questions, think critically, and actively engage in the learning process. Rachael is committed to creating a Christ-centered learning environment where students grow in faith, character, and knowledge; discover their God-given gifts; and learn to use those gifts in service to others with the support of home, school, and church working together.

Outside of her professional life, Rachael enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature through photography, and studying Scripture. She is honored to join this school community and looks forward to serving alongside the staff, partnering with families, and supporting students over this coming school year.
