Day three brought just as much excitement!
We started the day early with a visit to the United States Department of Agriculture building. We were fortunate to be able to get into the building, and visit the famous meeting room in the center of the building.
Then, it was time for our legislative visits. A huge shout out goes to Senator Gillibrand‘s office for taking a meeting with us to learn more about FFA in agriculture in upstate New York. Excellent job to our students for telling their story and advocating for FFA and agriculture! They did a great job!
After that, it was time for a tour of the Capitol building. We learned all about the statues that are throughout the building, saw the old Senate and house chambers, and were able to learn all about the famous rotunda in the center of the Capitol. A huge thank you to Senator Schumer‘s office for scheduling a tour for us.
Last, but definitely not least, the students had more time to work on their living to serve plans in which they work on a community service project to bring back to their local community.
So proud of our students and how well they represented Holland Patent today!
