Holladay School students enjoyed a fun "Back to School Bash" on the first day of school this year! Students played team building games! They enjoyed seeing teachers join in the fun as well! As we bid farewell to summer break, we are reminded that School can hold some fun surprises!

Holladay School teachers are gearing up for an exciting start to the new school year by putting school safety first! As part of our School Safety Professional Development, teachers participated in Incident Command drills and school bus evacuation training to strengthen their emergency preparedness.

Homeland Security Officer Jason Lowery led teachers through a variety of real-world safety scenarios, encouraging teams to collaborate, problem-solve, and discuss effective emergency response strategies.

A special thank you to bus driver Sherry Sigler for bringing her school bus so teachers could gain hands-on experience practicing the different emergency exits and exploring potential safety situations that could arise during student transportation.

These valuable training experiences are helping ensure our staff is prepared, confident, and ready to provide a safe and successful learning environment as we welcome students back to school next week!

On Tuesday, Vulcan Materials, Holladay School's Partner in Education, provided lunch for our teachers during our Safety PD. Vulcan ROCKS! Thanks, Jeremiah Stokes, and the Vulcan team! On Monday, the PTH provided lunch! Everyone show our teachers some back-to-school love!
