Today is my mother’s 54th anniversary of her death. It never gets easier, just somewhat more distant. She was a force and my only regret is that more of you never knew her. We were blessed.

Ok, mystery solved. Thanks, Luke Fouch. It was 1993, and we were there too, but we don't recall having run across John Jensen and family. Perhaps they left early or we're too old to remember! Here's a pic from our camera in 1993.

Uncle Don (Phyllis' brother) with cousin Pam and child. I don't recall the baby's name, but she died of a brain tumor at ~5 or 6 years old, I believe. RIP all. Photo thanks to cousin John Jensen!

Hi! I just learned that the oldest of our cousins (Kerry Earle Coe) died in July 2021 at age 86. He was Kathleen's only son. Kerry (who wasn't much younger than Phyllis) was raised by Grandma Aileen until Howard Coe married Kathleen and adopted him. Howard was a doctor. He became smitten with Kathleen when she was admitted to the hospital (for having a bad case of the flu) on the family's trip to Wisconsin to see Tom Earle. Kerry came to the family reunion in Challis in 1992 for those of you who were there.

Kerry Earle Coe
April 20, 1935 – July 26, 2021
Kerry Earle Coe, 86, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems.
Kerry was born the 20th of April 1935 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to the late Dr. Howard M. Coe and the late Kathleen Earle Coe, but moved to Brunswick, GA with his parents when he was only 6 yrs old. Kerry graduated from Glynn Academy and furthered his education at North Georgia College where after 2 years he then enlisted in the Navy.
Kerry went on to become a Naval Aviator serving his country flying F-4 Phantoms off the carrier USS Enterprise during Vietnam. After serving two tours in Vietnam, Kerry was re-assigned to the Hurricane Hunter Squadron out of NAS JAX, where he continued to serve his country by purposely flying into the center of hurricanes to gather vital data used by weather forecasters and emergency services in the determination of storm strength and potential impact to life and infrastructure. After giving 14 years of service to the country,
Kerry left the Navy and went to work at Brunswick Pulp and Paper as an engineer until his retirement.
Kerry was a proficient and avid golfer who spent most of his time after retirement devoted to the game of golf, playing the various courses around SE GA, but he especially loved his home course, Oak Grove Island Golf Club, which then became Heritage Oaks Golf Club.
In addition to Kerry parents he is preceded in death by his son, David Mark Coe.
Kerry is survived by his loving wife of 17 1/2 years Diana Dunigan-Coe of Brunswick, Ga., his children Scott Coe, Julie Wiliamson, Logan Grey, and Cassandra Latham; his grandchildren Brandy Dewalt, Lane Mitchell, Lacey Williamson, Lisa Roach, Loren Williamson; his great-grandchildren Isaiah, Aiden, and Lyla Roach, Ethan and Ellie Mitchell, and Cameron and Corbin Dewolf.
To honor Kerry’s wishes there are no services planned.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kerry’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.

It's hard to believe it was 50 years ago today, on a Sunday, January 24, 1971, that we lost our beautiful mother, Phyllis.
