Bonneville Junior High School

It was an incredible Spirit Week and Bonneville students and faculty really showed off their creativity. From celebrating America's 250th birthday with cake for everyone at lunch to more than 10 countries represented in jerseys in anticipation of the World Cup, we have seen our students quite as excited to participate.

The highlight, though, was Anything But A Backpack Day. Wow! We had lots of suitcases, a couple of animal crates, a colander fixed with a strap and caribiners, chip boxes, sports bags, kids car toys, coolers, an inflatable pool, and even a kayak. Yeah, it was a pretty hectic day and we laughed the whole way through it.

Dear parents of 8th graders,

We are about to send our kiddos to high school! 🤯 We are so grateful for the good times they have had here at Bonneville Junior High. Let's send them out in style with a little throw back to elementary field day!

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If your student would like to get wet (hopefully the weather is better than today! 🤞🏼) they MUST have a dry change of clothes and a towel. Please remind them of this and make sure they bring those items, otherwise they will not be allowed to do the water activities. We will have plenty of dry activities, so don't worry that they will be bored!

Our Viking Village showed up tonight! We loved seeing so many past, current, and future Vikings at Cottonwood Community Night.

Congratulations to our talented Vikings! We had several winners for the annual UPD Kids and Cops Art Competition which celebrates service in our communities. Our students were presented with awards by UPD Holladay Precinct Chief Justin Hoyal, Holladay City Mayor Paul Fotheringham and other local UPD officers. What an honor!

Byu Language Fair! Our DLI Chinese students had a grest field trip to the BYU Language Fair where the played games and celebrated their incredible achievements in Chinese. 谢谢 to Yang 老师 for your great instruction!

IN-N-OUT! Some of our 8th graders learned what it takes to run an In-N-Out with a behind-the-scenes tour of their Ft. Union location.

Our 8th graders take a YouScience assessment at the beginning of the year which gives insight to students talents, aptitudes, and interests. These students have high aptitude for the Hospitality and Tourism pathway and we're selected to take part in this special event.

Thank you to Mr. Oettli and Mrs. Christiansen for organizing such a wonderful CTE field trip. And, of course, THANK YOU to for an incredible day. We learned so much!
