Today was the first day of school, and we are SO excited to have our Legacy students back together 💙

Our halls are once again filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and so many smiling faces. We are looking forward to an incredible school year full of growth, new memories, and opportunities to learn and grow together. We’re praying for a wonderful year ahead! 🙏✨

Legacy is excited to announce a staff transition that is taking place this year! Not only will Mrs. Marsh be co-teaching 2nd grade, but she will also be mentoring our team as our new Impact Coach. Mrs. Marsh's years of teaching, expert classroom management, and creativity make her a prime role model and partner for all of our new and returning staff members. We are excited to watch her blossom in this role and look forward to our team receiving veteran support with instructional strategies and grade level skills as they navigate the Christian-education world.

Legacy Christian School Receives Phelps County Community Foundation Grant to Expand School Library

Legacy Christian School is pleased to announce it has received a $1,000 grant from the Phelps County Community Foundation to expand the school's library collection and strengthen literacy opportunities for students.
The grant will provide new nonfiction books and engaging reading materials, with a special emphasis on resources for older elementary students. The expanded collection will support the school's ongoing efforts to foster a lifelong love of reading through classroom instruction, reading challenges, and targeted literacy interventions. Through the help of the Phelps County Community Foundation, Legacy will be able to increase student access to high-quality books that reflect their interests and reading levels.
"We desire for our students to find the joy in reading and this investment will have a lasting impact," said Michelle Fritz, Principal of Legacy Christian School. "By expanding our library with engaging nonfiction and age-appropriate resources, we can better inspire curiosity, support literacy growth, and encourage students to become lifelong readers. We are incredibly grateful to the Phelps County Community Foundation for partnering with us to invest in the future of our students."
The new books will be selected by Legacy Christian School Librarian Kaitlyn Sundquist using student surveys, teacher recommendations, and an analysis of the current library collection. The materials will also complement the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) reading program and the new installment of Yoto Players, which provide additional literacy support for developing readers.
This project was funded by a grant from the Phelps County Community Foundation.

Want to make a Friday extra special for our Legacy Christian School students and staff? We're looking for 27 amazing sponsors to help provide our beloved Friday pizza lunches throughout the school year!

For $250, you'll treat all of our K–6 students and staff to pizza, sides, drinks, and paper products for one Friday lunch. It's a fun and meaningful way to bless our school community!
