Public Notice Regarding Holden Elementary School:

Construction of upgrades and improvements to the Holden Elementary School in Holden, Maine, were wholly financed by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The DWSRF program is administered by the Maine CDC Drinking Water Program with joint funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Maine. This project will include installation of a new water treatment system to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from the drinking water supply, and to provide PFAS-free water to students, staff, and faculty of the Holden Elementary School. This work will be completed prior to the first day of school. DWSRF programs operate around the country to provide states and communities with the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources nationwide.
