Every summer, our team holds a day-long retreat where new and returning team members can come together, get to know each other, and set personal and team goals for the year ahead!

We also make time for some team-building activities, and this year we added a little community outreach to the mix. We visited the Holden Senior Center to serve lunch and talk robots!

Here’s a look at some of the fun we had! We’re looking forward to putting these goals, new connections, and teamwork to work as we head into the season. We can’t wait to see what this year brings! BIG Goals means BIG things are coming!!!!🤖

This past school year, the ScrapHeads Robotics team had the incredible opportunity to visit Whiteman Air Force Base, made possible by Master Sergeant Tyler Bruns. Our team got up close with the A-10, including access to the cockpit, and toured through:

-Aircraft Metals Technology
-Non-Destructive Inspections
-Aerospace Propulsion
-Aircraft Ground Equipment
-Integrated Avionics and Electronic Warfare

We are beyond honored to have experienced this hands-on look into the incredible work happening at Whiteman AFB and the team even received machined A-10 keepsakes to commemorate the visit!

A huge thank you to Master Sergeant Tyler Bruns and Group Commander Col. Chevalier for making this day possible. Experiences like these inspire our team and remind us why we love STEM and robotics. 🙌

Day 3 of Programming Training!!

Our students didn't just learn to code this week, they built real tools for our team! Thad created a Robotics Tool Sorter, James built a Light Display Counter, and Calian designed a Shape Maker. We loved welcoming students from our neighboring district to Busy Bee Summer Camp! Sharing our passion for STEM and robotics with young learners is what we are all about!
