Q: How do you care for an intact (not circumcised) p***s?
A: “If intact, do not retract. Only clean what is seen.”
That’s really all there is to it! A gentle wipe during diaper changes and a soak in a warm bath is all the care an intact p***s needs.
🚫 No soap inside.
🚫 No retraction.
✅ No problem.
Q: If it’s that simple, why is there so much conflicting information out there?
Sadly, many U.S. hospitals and clinics still use outdated medical guidance that can cause harm. Never pull back a child’s fo****in for cleaning, exams, or procedures (even catheterization).
The fo****in is naturally attached to the head of the p***s—sometimes through puberty. The only person who should ever retract it is the child themselves, when it naturally becomes ready.
Forced retraction can cause pain, bleeding, scarring, and infection—and is the most common reason intact children experience problems.
