Joins can definitely be a pain, especially when you're first learning to spin! Here's a simple worsted join and an easy way to learn it! Fiber to fiber, use the same tension on both the old and the new fiber, and I draft forward (at least for the first draft, even if I'm doing a short backwards, draft). That's really all there is to it. Do worsted joins in your worsted yarns and those joints will be strong and disappear!
