Principal Howard Warner (1877 - 1953), a Hogansville native, and former principal of the Pinson Street School in Newnan. Howard completed his higher education at Fisk and Atlanta Universities. He began his teaching career working in Manchester GA and eventually moved to lead the public school for African Americans in Newnan GA in 1914. The local replacement school in mid-1930s, Howard Warner High School, was named in his honor. This school educated a legacy of African American students, who contributed to community, civic, and professional endeavors.

Here is an early photograph of "Ada," as noted in the inscription on the reverse. Consequently, we will refer to her as Ms. Ada of Hogansville. Does anyone recognize this individual? This was shared from the private family collection of Mrs May Johnson or Mrs Carrie D. Russell in Hogansville.
