The Defenders Cross Country team braved the heat today and ran their 2nd race of the season. They all ran hard and persevered - and a huge shout out to 5th grader, Holly, who placed 11th out of 86 runners in the JV girls race!!

Earlier in August we held our first EAGLE assembly where we monthly celebrate our students… in August we thanked God for our 7th grade class and our athletes on the Defender baseball/softball teams. We enjoyed cheering on the athletes in a friendly competition of a wiffle ball “home run” derby!

STEM club met for the first time this year with a building challenge - pick a sport and represent it with your building materials. Look carefully and you’ll see soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball!

As We Gather for the Fourteenth Sunday After Pentecost: One of the areas of traditional historical study that has changed greatly in recent years is cartography, the science of mapmaking and map reading. Fewer people these days depend on the once-common foldout paper maps that were in use everywhere years ago. Directions to desired destinations are now often supplied by satellite imagery. Whatever technology is used, it is still important to be able to follow the instructions given with the map for it to be used successfully. Following is vital! On several occasions, Jesus says to those who would be His disciples very simply and straightforwardly, “Follow Me” (Matthew 4:19; Luke 9:59). Those who followed Him found renewal and blessing. As we follow His leading through our worship, we are renewed and blessed.

Welcome to worship at Trinity!

As We Gather for the Thirteenth Sunday After Pentecost: The word doxology encompasses words of praise that are addressed to the triune God. It comes from the Greek word doxa, which is used in the New Testament to express the splendor of God and also serves to describe the outpouring of honor and praise to God from His faithful people. When we sing or say “Glory be to God on high,” we are joining the praises spoken by the angels of God in eternity: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen” (Revelation 7:12). Such an honor it is for us to join in that praise!
