Dear St. Hubert Alumni,
I am writing with a heavy but hopeful heart.
St. Hubert Catholic School is at a critical crossroads. Despite a vibrant community, strong enrollment relative to other area schools, and clear plans for renewal, we are facing the real possibility of closure as part of broader Archdiocesan decisions affecting Catholic schools across Chicago.
This is not just about a building or a budget line. It is about children, families, faith formation, and a community that has shaped generations of people who lead, serve, and show up - including YOU.
We need your voice now.
How You Can Help:
1. Add your voice to the Alumni Impact Survey (5–7 minutes)
This is our most urgent need. We are compiling clear, credible data showing how St. Hubert alumni lead, serve, and live their values.

2. Spread the word
Please forward this email to other alumni, families, and friends of St. Hubert. Visibility matters.
3. Support the GoFundMe Campaign (if you are able)
Funds raised will help demonstrate community support and stabilize the school while we pursue longer-term solutions and advocacy. ALL MONEY COLLECTED WILL BE REFUNDED IN THE EVENT WE ARE NOT SUCCESSFUL AT KEEPING THE SCHOOL OPEN. No gift is expected; every gift is meaningful.

4. Advocate through letter writing
We are organizing respectful, values-based advocacy to Church leadership and other stakeholders. See attachment below for email addresses.
5. Offer time, expertise, or connections
Some alumni are able to help through professional expertise, strategic guidance, donor connections, media outreach, or event support. If that’s you, we want to hear from you. Please write to us at mailto:[email protected]
This moment calls not for nostalgia, but for witness.
If St. Hubert mattered to you, if it shaped who you became, NOW is the time to help ensure that future generations are given the same chance.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you, in advance, for standing with us in whatever way you feel called.
With gratitude and resolve,
Michelle Flowers, MD St. Hubert Class of 1990
