Mrs. Trongeau’s 2/3 PDT is studying the cultures and traditions of Cameroon and Kenya. They were fortunate to learn from members of the LP Community about the music, language, fashion, and food from the countries. Asante sana! Earl Talbot Gros Ngolle Pokossi

The Student Ambassadors partnered with CITY of Support in Arlington Heights to make birthday cards for therapists to pass out to kids. They also brought in an overwhelming amount of donations for families to purchase at their store. Thanks for a wonderful morning spent together helping others, ambassadors!

Another smashing success has been the 4/5 Chess and Puzzles club! Kids love coming in and getting to play some of their favorite games. Win or lose, they’re just having fun together! ♟️ 🧩

💚What is your favorite thing about the LP culture?
👩🏻‍🏫One of my favorite things about the LP culture is our multiage configurations. I love spending two years with each of my students and their families. Multiage helps strengthen the relationships throughout Lincoln Prairie School.

💚How do you contribute to the LP culture?
👩🏻‍🏫I try to contribute to the LP culture by creating an environment in all settings (neighborhood, PDT, clubs, classroom, etc.) where students feel welcomed, appreciated and loved.

💚What is your favorite thing about the LP culture?
👩‍🏫What I love the most about the LP culture is that there is space for everyone. We offer so many opportunities for both staff and students to get involved and enjoy being at LP.

💚How do you contribute to the culture of LP?
👩‍🏫I enjoy being a part of the Social Committee and being CST Coordinator. I also love attending volleyball and basketball games in our new gym!

💚Would you like to share anything interesting or specific about your personal culture for the LP community to know?
👩‍🏫I am very proud to be 100% Croatian, as both of my parents were born in Croatia and came to the United States when they were in their late teen years. Croatian was my first language.
