Weekly Round-Up 🐝

Mrs. Alexander’s 5th grade class integrated reading, science, and math this week. We read two texts about the moon nonfiction: “One Small Step” and fiction: “The Sea of Tranquillity” to discover how we summarize each genre. We integrated science by creating our own moon substance and discovering chemical reactions as we made craters into the moon.

Recently, 5th grade read “The Marble Champ” and hosted our own marble championship integrating math by learning how to measure circumference and probabilities.

Mrs. Sellers’s 4th grade class made simple circuits with lights, motors, and buzzers.

Mrs. Rush’s 2nd grade room finished up a unit on place value and after their assessment, they played a place value game where they had to use not only their knowledge of place value, but had to use strategy and some probability to create greater numbers than other members of the class!

Ms. Vandiver’s first graders worked with ten frames this week!

Mrs. Baker’s kinder friends enjoyed related arts this week!
