…..and with that, another year of the Junior Chef season has come to an end. With the new set of competition rules this was a single round competition to where the top three scores win. Currently we are in 4th place with two teams yet to compete. It’s been a fantastic year and this has been a great team and we’ve had a lot of laughs! Thank You for all your support you’ve had for these students this year, it means the world to us! ❤️

The stage is set for another exciting Junior Chef Competition. The Hungry Hawks take the stage tomorrow morning at 10:30 in the south wing of expo center!

Tonight was the first annual Junior Chef Family Dinner. The students had a chance to prepare our competition recipe for their family members.

Couldn’t ask for a better crew!

We couldn’t ask for a better crew for our summer meals (we were missing a couple who are off today) but these people work so hard!! Come see us today! ☀️

We have our competition recipe ready for the big show this August.

Our Classic American Burger is a pan seared patty combination of ground chicken and beef on a bed of green leaf lettuce, topped with two slices of American cheese and a creamy homemade roasted garlic sweet relish mayo on a whole wheat bun. This burger is paired perfectly with roasted sweet corn, fresh garden cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onion and fresh basil to make the perfect Sweet Summer Corn Salad.

We were asked to participate in Career day at one of our Elementary schools today. We talked about the program, also mentioned steps to pursue a secondary education in the world of culinary arts. Our JC students made different food displays for the kids to view, and I showed the kids how to make a tomato rose! 🍅 🌹
