Jeff Taylor: Owner/President/Instructor of Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Band Instruments
Jeff has a Bachelor degree in Instrumental Music Education from Missouri Southern State University. His primary instruments are trumpet and guitar. Along with those instruments he teaches bass, drums/percussion, french horn, trombone, euphonium, saxophone, and clarinet. Jeff is a music educator with more than 20
years of experience. He began teaching private trumpet at the age of 15 and through the years added many other instruments to his teaching repertoire. He specializes in areas of instruction such as technique, theory, chord structure, ear training, composition, and improvisation. Styles include classical, jazz, rock, blues, county, praise and worship, etc. He has performed for Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and President George W. Bush as well as concerts in London, England. He has also performed with Grammy Award Winning Trumpeter and Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Famer, Billy Hunt. Jeff has been a worship leader and church musician, playing various instruments, for most of his life. Jeff married Charis in 1999 and they have 7 children. Jeff's vision for this music and art academy is to cultivate the music abilities in young people. He hopes that he can share his passion and love for music with the next generation. There is no limit to what they can do and learn when it comes to the arts.
