🚨TESTIMONIAL ALERT - Julie & Roger Ketterling (Torgee’s parents): We wanted to thank you, Coach Hugo Munoz ( Kangaroo Athletics LLC / Kangaroo Track Club ) for the time and effort you have invested in developing Torgee not only as an athlete but also as a young man. It is amazing to look back at where Torgee started his high jump journey and see how much progress he has made.
He fell in love with high jump right away as an 8th grader, but he needed the guidance to help him learn and develop the proper technique. Coach Munoz was the perfect person to help Torgee develop the skills he needed to compete at the high school level and, now, at the collegiate level.
Coach Munoz has also made practices feel warm and welcoming while prioritizing both having fun and staying focused on training. We have truly enjoyed being part of the community of athletes that Torgee has become friends with, as well as the support and encouragement provided by the other parents.
Throughout his journey, Torgee has had the opportunity to compete at prestigious events such as Nike Indoor Nationals in NYC, Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon, the Simplot Games, and the 1st Annual Kangaroo Competition in Tishomingo, OK. These experiences have given Torgee valuable exposure to national-level jumping competitions and have helped prepare him for his collegiate career.
We would also like to thank Jenna and Daniella for being there to support the athletes at these different events and for taking pictures to capture so many of these special moments. Their support and encouragement have meant so much to the athletes and families and have helped create memories that we will always cherish.
Coach Munoz has also been there for Torgee with life advice and guidance, while teaching him the importance of good sportsmanship. He celebrates each athlete’s successes at every event and supports his athletes in so many ways.
Thank you, Coach Munoz, for everything you have done for Torgee. We are incredibly grateful for the impact you have had on his athletic journey and, even more importantly, on the young man he has become.
