"NO TWO SNOWFLAKES ARE ALIKE"

A self-educated farmer, Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley attracted world attention with his pioneering work in the area of photomicrography, most notably his extensive work with snow crystals (commonly known as snowflakes). By adapting a microscope to a bellows camera, and years of trial and error, he became the first person to photograph a single snow crystal in 1885.

Our DaVinci Kids recently learned about the island chain known as the PACIFIC RING OF FIRE. Well, break out a birthday cake because a new island is forming in the chain through a series of undersea volcanic eruptions! Don't get to see THAT every day!! DaVinci Kids would like to remind everyone to remember our veterans, past and present on this Veteran's Day. We thank you for your service. The poppy flower became the symbol of remembrance after the poem In Flanders' Fields was written by Canadian soldier, John McCrae, during the First World War. Veterans of many countries fought for the same causes.
