Coach Bryan Smallwood has been named the 2026 D.I.G.C.A. Coach of the Year!

Sanford School’s Head Golf Coach was named the 2026 Delaware Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association (D.I.G.C.A.) Coach of the Year, chosen from a competitive statewide pool. His colleagues praise not only his success in golf but also his positive impact outside the game. Coach Smallwood led the Warriors to a 14-6 record this season.

The Warriors finished the season with an overall record of 11-10, advancing to the DIAA State Tournament with wins over Charter School of Wilmington and Conrad School before falling to Sussex Central in the quarterfinals.

This senior class has helped define Sanford Baseball over the past four years, and we are proud of everything they have accomplished.

Congratulations to our boys' tennis players on their postseason awards!

Second Team All-State: Samuel Russell '29, first singles
Sam's run to the final was one to remember. The No. 7 seed at first singles, he fought his way through the bracket to the championship match, finishing as the State Runner-Up, the first athlete to do so since Charlie Sternberg '23!

What a run! Our girls' soccer team went 11-6-1 this season, advancing to the DIAA Semifinals after wins over Delmar and Indian River.
