Chinese School of Delaware 德立華中文學校 is a not-for-profit educational weekend school located at the Chinese American Community Center in Hockessin, Delaware. Over the years, it has grown into a school with 180 students at times. Along with the Chinese American Community Center (CACC), the school has been recognized as the local resource for Chinese culture and language. It is the vision of the Chines

e School of Delaware to become a Chinese language school, which serves the community at large, and individuals who are interested in learning Chinese and its culture.

The excitement is building for our Chinese New Year Winter Carnival! 🎉 We love seeing happy faces ready to celebrate, just like these wonderful kids and adults!
Join us for a Traditional New Year Family & Friends Game Day on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 - 4:30 PM at the Chinese American Community Center. 🌟 Get ready to celebrate the Year of the Horse with us! 🐎 The CACC Chinese New Year Winter Carnival is happening on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 - 4:30 PM at the Chinese American Community Center! It's a Traditional New Year Family & Friends Game Day you won't want to miss!
Enjoy Lantern Riddles, Bingo, Carnival Games, Door Prizes, and delicious Holiday Food! Plus, a spectacular Lion Parade starts at 2:00 PM, and there will be mini folk dances and super fun shows throughout the day.

Getting ready for the Year of the Horse at ! People born in the Year of the Horse are seen as charismatic and intelligent, though they can be impatient and fiercely independent.

Students had fun making horse-themed couplets to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Special thanks to Curriculum Director Ms. Celia Chen for developing these New Year's crafts.

at The weather was excellent for the schoolwide celebration, and most of the children (and some parents!) came in their special costumes to prepare for the yearly celebration. Our students had a blast enjoying various fun games, cookies, and other treats.

A special thanks to Ms. Brittany Slanac, PTA chair, for once again organizing the most fun school-wide event of the year.
