Four Kagan structures in ONE math lesson!!! We used RoundTable, One Stray, RallyRobin, and Numbered Heads Together to get everyone thinking, talking, sharing ideas, and working together to solve math problems! We used the Kagan structure RallyTable to work with a partner to sort addition equations into doubles, doubles plus/minus 1, and doubles plus/minus 2. Partners took turns sorting equations and identifying the strategy used to solve each one.

We met with our buddies last week! The student we interviewed each other and came up with a handshake!

We practiced fluency using RoundRobin with our teams! Each student took a turn reading our fluency passage aloud. After each reader finished, their teammates used our Arts & Letters Fluency Chart to give feedback on things like accuracy, phrasing, expression, and rate. I loved seeing them help each other become stronger readers!

During Kagan Spirit Week, we played Magic 11 with our teams! It was a fun teambuilding activity that had us working together and using teamwork to reach our goal! Kagan Publishing & Professional Development Cooke Elementary School

We met our 5th grade buddies today! We interviewed each other to learn a little more about our buddies and then created our own buddy handshakes! We are so excited to spend the year together, get to know each other, and build some special relationships along the way!

We got up and moving with Quiz-Quiz-Trade!

Students practiced reading words with blends, digraphs, and the FLOSS rule, along with reviewing math mountains. Such a fun way to practice our skills while working with lots of different classmates!
